A chauffeur service is not an expensive taxi. The difference is what the driver is being asked to do: not to complete one trip as quickly as possible, but to be responsible for a person or a family for a period of time, in a country where the roads, the addresses and the schedules do not behave the way visitors expect.
In Pakistan that difference is larger than it is in most places, because so much of what a passenger would normally rely on is missing. There is no metered taxi worth the name. There is no published airport tariff. Foreign phones land without data and foreign cards are often refused by airport cash machines. The service is the part that fills those gaps.
What we commit to, and what we do not
Three things, stated plainly because they are the three we can stand behind. The driver meets arriving passengers inside the terminal, not in a car park. The price is fixed once it is quoted and you have accepted it, for the journey as described. And you receive the driver’s photograph and the vehicle registration before the car arrives, so the person who turns up is the person you were told about.
We deliberately do not claim things we have not put in place. Plenty of operators in this market advertise flight tracking and free waiting periods as standard. We do not make either claim on this site, because we would rather under-promise in writing than describe a service you might not receive. If waiting time matters to your booking, raise it and we will agree it explicitly.
Driver hours are a safety question
The intercity journeys people ask for in Pakistan are long. Islamabad to Lahore is four and a half hours each way. Islamabad to Skardu is twelve to sixteen hours. Islamabad to Hunza is fourteen to twenty. A same-day return on the first is entirely reasonable; a single-day run on the last two is not, and a driver who offers it is not the driver you want.
So we will sometimes propose a different shape from the one you asked for: an overnight stop, a second driver, or a later start. UK government advice for Pakistan notes that local driving standards are erratic, particularly at night, and recommends experienced local drivers in mountainous regions. Those are the conditions we are staffing for.
Half-day, full-day and multi-day hire
Most chauffeur work is not point to point. It is a car and driver for a morning of meetings in Islamabad, a day covering the Lahore Fort and Wagah, three days of mill visits around Faisalabad, or a week in Baltistan with the same driver throughout. Those are quoted as time and itinerary rather than as a sequence of separate fares, and the car waits with your bags in it while you are inside.
Tell us the shape of the day rather than the individual legs, including where the car should wait and for how long. If the plan changes while you are travelling, we requote rather than settling up differently at the end.
Choosing the vehicle
The right vehicle is decided by luggage and by road, not by headline price. A full-size sedan is the workhorse for city and motorway work. A seven-seat SUV carries seven people or five people’s luggage, not both. Mountain routes need a proper four-wheel-drive, and specifically a diesel four-wheel-drive rather than the two-wheel-drive petrol version of the same model. Groups are usually a Grand Cabin, sold as thirteen passengers plus the driver. A small city car is not a hill vehicle and we will not send one up to Murree with four adults in it.
We will tell you when the answer is no
There are destinations we will decline, journeys that need permits we cannot obtain for you, and single-day itineraries we will not staff. You will hear that at the quote stage rather than discovering it later.
Tell us the journey and we will price it. A submitted request is not a booking until availability, price and terms are confirmed.
Which vehicle actually fits
Seat counts are the manufacturer figures. The passenger and luggage numbers beside them are what the vehicle carries in practice, with the cases people really travel with. If your party is near the limit, tell us the number of bags rather than the number of people, because that is what decides it.
- Suzuki WagonR 3 passengers, 2 cases Short city transfers on a budget. The tall boot helps more than the engine does.
- Toyota Yaris or Corolla 3 to 4 passengers, 2 to 3 large cases The workhorse. City work, airport transfers and the motorway run between Lahore and Islamabad.
- Honda BR-V 5 passengers with luggage, or 7 with almost none Family airport transfers on paved routes. The third row eats the boot, so it suits children or short hops rather than seven adults with cases. Not a mountain vehicle.
- Toyota Fortuner 5 passengers with full luggage, 7 travelling light Rough road and mountain work: Skardu, Hunza, Naran, Babusar. Ask for the diesel four-wheel-drive, because the petrol version is two-wheel-drive.
- Toyota Land Cruiser 4 to 5 passengers with full luggage Protocol and expedition work, and a genuine choice for Skardu and Deosai. It returns 5 to 10 km a litre, which at Rs 343 a litre is the honest reason it costs what it costs.
- Toyota Hiace Grand Cabin 13 passengers plus the driver The group and family vehicle. Gulf arrivals into Sialkot and Peshawar with heavy luggage, tour groups, weddings, long intercity runs.
- Toyota Coaster 25 to 29 passengers with hold luggage Large groups, corporate shuttles and pilgrimage travel. Worth knowing that the motorway toll alone is Rs 3,350 each way against Rs 1,430 for a car.
How booking works
- 01 Tell us the journey Where from, where to, when, how many of you and how much luggage. Precise addresses matter more than you would think, because a Rawalpindi address and an Islamabad address twenty minutes apart are very different journeys.
- 02 We quote a fixed price One figure for the whole journey, with the vehicle class it assumes. If a motorway toll or a waiting period is part of it, you see that too.
- 03 You see the driver and the car Before the journey you get the driver photograph and the vehicle registration, so you know exactly who and what you are looking for.
- 04 You travel At an airport your driver waits inside arrivals with a name sign. Check the photograph and the registration plate against what we sent you before you get in.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between this and a taxi?
A taxi completes one trip. A chauffeur booking makes a named, checked driver responsible for you for a defined period, at a price agreed before you travel, with the vehicle chosen for the road and the luggage.
Is the price really fixed?
Yes, once quoted and accepted, for the journey or the day as described. If you change the route, the stops or the timing, we requote before anything changes rather than adjusting at the end.
Do you track flights?
We do not advertise flight tracking, because we would rather not claim a capability in writing that we have not committed to. Send us the flight number and the scheduled arrival and we will plan the pickup around it.
Is waiting time included?
We do not advertise free waiting time as standard. If waiting matters to your booking, tell us and we will agree it explicitly in the quote.
Will I know who is driving me?
Yes. The driver’s photograph and the vehicle registration are sent to you before pickup, on every booking.
Can the same driver stay with us for several days?
Yes, and for northern and multi-city itineraries it is what we would recommend. Local knowledge is the safety margin on those routes.
Will you drive a long route in a single day?
Sometimes, and sometimes not. Islamabad to Lahore and back in a day is reasonable. Islamabad to Skardu in a day is not, and we will propose an overnight stop instead.
Can the car wait between meetings?
Yes. Tell us where and roughly how long at the quote stage so the waiting is planned rather than improvised.
Which vehicle should I book?
Tell us passengers, cases and destination and we will tell you. Luggage and road surface decide it, not the seat count on a spec sheet.
Do you provide female drivers?
Tell us at the quote stage if this matters for your booking and we will say honestly whether we can meet it for your dates and location rather than promising it in general.
Can you collect from an address and take us to another city?
Yes. Intercity journeys are quoted door to door, including motorway tolls as a stated line item.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can for airport arrivals, northern itineraries and anything in season. For a city transfer, less notice is usually workable, but the vehicle choice narrows.
