Why people choose it
Forty-five seats in a 2x2 layout is the standard full-size coach in Pakistan, and it is what the manufacturers actually build: Daewoo Pak Motors lists its BH116 at 44 passengers and its BH115 at 45, both on an 11.5 metre body, and Volvo Pakistan lists the 12.5 metre B11R with Marcopolo bodywork at 45 in 2+2. It is the same vehicle Faisal Movers and Kohistan run on their standard intercity services, so it is a coach your group will recognise from the motorway rather than an unusual charter.
What to know before you book it
Questions about this vehicle
How many people does the full-size 45-seat coach actually seat?
Forty-five in the standard 2x2 layout. That is what the manufacturers publish for the coaches used in Pakistan: Daewoo Pak Motors lists its BH116 at 44 passengers and its BH115 at 45, and Volvo Pakistan lists the 12.5 metre B11R with Marcopolo bodywork at 45. The real spread across bodies is 44 to 49, and a business-class 2x1 layout on the same coach seats about 30 to 39 with much more legroom. We confirm the exact vehicle and its seat count in writing before you commit.
Where does the luggage go on a full-size coach?
In a proper under-floor hold. This is the only vehicle in our catalogue that has one, and for a large group it is the main reason to choose a coach: cases travel beneath the floor instead of stacked on the back seats, so luggage does not eat into the seating. Tell us your case numbers and we confirm the hold suits them.
Can a full-size coach go to Naran, Kaghan or over Babusar?
No. This coach is for motorways and main national highways only. It does not go up Kaghan past Naran and it does not go over Babusar. For groups heading into the mountains we move you to the Coaster class, which handles roads a full-size coach cannot attempt. Tell us the destination and we will say plainly which class fits.
Which routes does a full-size coach actually suit?
Motorway and main highway work: Lahore to Islamabad, Karachi to Hyderabad, Islamabad to Peshawar and similar runs where the road stays wide and sealed. The moment an itinerary turns onto narrow hill roads, the coach is the wrong vehicle and we will say so rather than take the booking. Send the full itinerary, including side trips, before we quote.
Is the coach self-drive, or is a driver provided?
A driver is provided. A full-size coach is never a self-drive booking with us. The driver is vetted, and photo and registration details are shared with you before the journey so the group knows who is arriving. If the hire runs over more than one day, the driver arrangement is set out in writing with your quote.
Can a coach collect a large group from the airport?
Yes. On airport journeys the driver meets the group inside arrivals, which is the difference between a controlled pickup and a large party milling around the car park. The under-floor hold takes the group's cases, so nobody travels with a bag on their lap. The price is fixed once quoted. Send us the flight and the group size when you enquire.
What does "or similar" mean for a coach booking?
It means another full-size coach, and it only means anything once the seating is confirmed. Since seat numbers in coach advertising are configuration labels rather than guarantees, a like-for-like swap has to be checked against the actual vehicle. We confirm the coach and its seating in writing with your quote, and confirm again if anything changes before travel.
Is a 45-seat coach always exactly 45 seats?
No, and it is worth knowing before you compare quotes. Forty-five in a 2x2 layout is the standard Pakistani full-size coach and the figure we plan against, but bodies from different builders seat roughly forty-four to forty-nine on the same chassis, and the market is full of listings whose advertised seat count does not survive contact with the actual bus. We confirm the vehicle and its seating in writing before you book.
Does the quote include fuel, tolls and parking?
The quote sets out in writing what it covers, including fuel, motorway tolls, parking and the driver arrangement, before you commit to anything. We do not publish a single policy on this page because it varies with the route and the length of the hire. What we do commit to is that the price is fixed once quoted.
iDrive publishes a vehicle CLASS, and supplies this model or a similar approved vehicle in the same class. That is how the whole trade works here; we would rather say so than imply a specific registration is reserved for you.
