What this vehicle carries
- Passengers
- Seven. Five adults in genuine comfort, with the third row suited to children or to adults on shorter journeys.
- Luggage
- One large case, or two cabin bags, behind the third row. Fold the third row and you have room for about four large cases.
- Fuel
- Petrol, 1,497cc, CVT automatic, front-wheel drive.
- Roads
- City, motorway and metalled hill roads. Its 201 mm ground clearance copes well with broken tarmac and speed humps, but it is front-wheel drive only.
Luggage is stated in cases rather than litres, because that is the figure that decides whether a party fits. If you are near the limit, tell us the number of bags rather than the number of people.
Why people choose it
The BR-V is the most car-like seven-seater in this class and the one to book when the journey is long. It rides and drives like a raised hatchback rather than a van, it is automatic, and at 201 mm it has more ground clearance than any of the crossovers in our comfort class — which matters more on a rutted approach road than most people expect. A sensible default for a family of five or six going city to city. Vetted driver, and the price is fixed once quoted.
What to know before you book it
Questions about this vehicle
Is the Honda BR-V really a seven-seater?
Yes, seven seats. Five adults travel in comfort and the third row is best kept for children or short journeys. Adults will sit back there for an hour across town without complaint, but not for an intercity run and back. Book on the basis of five adults plus two children rather than seven adults.
How much luggage fits in a Honda BR-V with seven people aboard?
One large case. The boot behind the third row is 223 litres, smaller than many hatchbacks, so seven passengers and seven bags will not fit. Fold the third row down and it takes about four large cases. If you need all seven seats and full luggage, book a larger vehicle or a second car.
Is the Honda BR-V a 4x4?
No. The BR-V is a front-wheel-drive crossover, not a four-wheel drive. What it does have is 201 mm of ground clearance, which is high for this class and copes well with broken tarmac, harsh speed breakers and rough village roads. Clearance and four-wheel drive are different things; the BR-V has the first, not the second.
Is the BR-V good for northern routes like Naran, Hunza or Skardu?
On metalled hill roads it is one of the better choices in its class, because 201 mm of clearance handles the broken surfaces that lower crossovers scrape on. It is still front-wheel drive, so snow, loose gravel climbs and jeep track are outside its remit. For those legs, a four-wheel-drive jeep is the right vehicle.
Is the Honda BR-V good for a long drive?
For five people, yes. It is settled at motorway speed and the front two rows suit a full day. The limitation is the third row and the boot rather than the ride: with seven aboard the rearmost passengers get little legroom and there is space for a single case, so long trips are better planned as five adults with the third row folded.
What is the ground clearance of the Honda BR-V?
201 mm, the highest of the crossovers in this class on our fleet, and the reason it clears broken tarmac and steep, badly surfaced ramps where lower SUVs ground out. It does not make the BR-V an off-roader. It makes it a sensible choice for the everyday bad roads found on most Pakistani intercity routes.
Does the BR-V come with a driver, or can I self-drive?
Both chauffeur-driven and self-drive hire are arranged through idrive.pk, and which applies to a given BR-V is confirmed with your quote. Chauffeur-driven suits families and intercity runs. Drivers are vetted, and you are given the driver's photo and registration details rather than meeting an unidentified stranger at the door.
Can I book a BR-V for an airport transfer?
Yes, and on airport journeys the driver meets you at arrivals rather than waiting in the car park. Size the booking by luggage rather than seats: with the third row raised there is room for one large case, so a family of five arriving with checked bags should have that row folded flat.
What does "or similar" mean when I book a BR-V?
It means a vehicle of the same class and seat count may be supplied in place of the exact car shown. If a particular feature is the reason you chose it, such as the seven seats or the 201 mm clearance for a hill route, say so at the quote stage and we will confirm the specific vehicle in writing.
iDrive publishes a vehicle CLASS, and supplies this model or a similar approved vehicle in the same class. That is how the whole trade works here; we would rather say so than imply a specific registration is reserved for you.
