Questions about this class
Is a Revo the same thing as a Hilux?+
Yes. Hilux is Toyota's pickup nameplate worldwide; Revo is the generation name Toyota Indus Motor Company assembles and sells in Pakistan, and in ordinary Pakistani speech 'Revo' has simply replaced 'Hilux'. The previous generation was the Vigo, which you will still see offered on hire alongside it. Rocco and GR-S are higher trim grades of the same Revo, not different vehicles.
Is every Revo a 4x4?+
No, and this is the single most important thing to check before you book a mountain trip. Toyota Indus sells the Revo in several grades and also sells single-cab Hilux variants in both drive layouts, so a vehicle advertised simply as 'Revo' may be two-wheel drive. We confirm the drivetrain of the specific vehicle assigned to your journey before it is accepted. If your route includes unpaved sections, say so when you request a quote so we quote a 4x4 and not a 2WD.
What is a 'Revo dala'?+
'Dala' is the Pakistani term for the single-cab deck-body pickup: two or three seats up front and a long open load bed behind, rather than the four-door double cab. It carries far more cargo and far fewer people, so it is a goods and equipment vehicle rather than a passenger one. If you searched for a dala and you actually need to seat a family, the double cab is the vehicle you want.
How much luggage does it really take?+
Plan on roughly four large cases strapped into the bed, plus two soft bags inside the cab. Note that no manufacturer publishes a usable boot figure for an open-bed pickup because there is no boot to measure, so that is our working operating figure rather than a quoted specification. If the weather or the contents matter, ask whether the assigned vehicle has a canopy fitted.
Can I hire it without a driver?+
Self-drive is a genuinely separate product with its own documentation and security requirements, and it is not the same booking as a chauffeured hire. Tell us which one you want at quote stage. For unpaved mountain routes we would gently point out that a driver who has actually driven the Deosai track before is worth more than the saving.
Does the price change once I have been quoted?+
No. Once we quote your journey, that price is fixed. We do not publish rates on this page because they vary by route, duration and drivetrain, so request a quote for the specific journey you have in mind.
Can it be booked for an airport pickup?+
Yes, and for airport journeys your driver will meet and greet you at arrivals. Bear in mind the open bed: if you are landing with a family's worth of suitcases and no canopy is fitted, a Hiace or an SUV is the more sensible airport vehicle and we will say so.
