If you are in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or Qatar and need to arrange transport in Pakistan — a car for parents landing in Lahore, a driver for a relative in Gujranwala, your own pickup when you fly home — the obstacle is rarely the car itself. It is that the tools that work fine in the Gulf do not carry over: your UAE or Saudi number will not receive a Pakistani ride-hailing app’s verification code reliably, the fare quoted by an app on the ground can move with demand, and a booking made by someone else on your behalf has nowhere obvious to go once it is placed.
This page is about arranging it properly before anyone travels, paid for from where you actually are — Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha or anywhere else in the Gulf — without routing the payment through someone in Pakistan first.
Why this needs a different approach from booking locally
Pakistan’s ride-hailing market today is inDrive, Yango and Bykea — Uber left the country entirely on 30 April 2024 and Careem suspended its own ride-hailing service on 18 July 2025, so neither can be booked at all, whatever an older guide might still claim. Of the three that remain, inDrive is negotiated trip by trip between passenger and driver, so there is no fixed fare to check in advance; Yango shows a price upfront but, like the others, assumes the person booking has a working local number, mobile data and a payment method the app accepts at the exact moment of pickup. That is a reasonable assumption for someone already in Pakistan. It is not a reasonable assumption for a parent in Dubai booking a car for a daughter arriving in Islamabad, or for someone in Riyadh arranging their own pickup two weeks before they fly.
Paying from the Gulf, not through Pakistan

What to send us
The more detail we have at the start, the less there is to sort out closer to the date.
- Pickup address and destination address, in full. For DHA, Bahria Town or Rawalpindi areas, add a phase, block or landmark.
- Date and time. For an arrival, the flight number and scheduled arrival time; for a departure, the check-in time rather than the flight time.
- Number of passengers and number of cases — the cases decide the vehicle size.
- Any stops on the way, and whether the car waits, returns empty, or comes back later in the day.
- A contact for the traveller in Pakistan, and a contact for you if you are booking for someone else.
- Anything that changes the vehicle: an infant seat, a wheelchair, extra luggage, or a passenger who cannot manage steps.
Booking for family while you are in the Gulf
Most of what comes through this page is one person booking for another: someone in Dubai arranging a car for parents arriving in Lahore, someone in Jeddah booking a pickup for a sibling visiting Sialkot, a company in Doha arranging a colleague’s transfer in Karachi. Overseas Pakistanis arranging this from the Gulf tend to come from right across Punjab and the Potohar region — Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Lahore among them — as well as further afield, and the process is the same wherever the pickup is.
Time zones are worth a moment of care. Pakistan Standard Time is one hour ahead of the UAE, and two hours ahead of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and none of the four observe daylight saving, so the gap is fixed year-round — but it is still worth stating arrival and departure times in Pakistani local time on the booking, so nothing is misread by an hour or two at an odd hour of the night.
What is fixed and what is not
Once you have paid for a journey through the composer, the price is fixed for the journey as described, in the currency you paid it in. If the route, stops or timing change, we requote before anything happens rather than adjusting the figure afterwards.
